Chinese New Years! Year of the Dragon

Edinburgh has a very large population of Chinese. The University of Edinburgh and Napier University both draw a number of Chinese students each year. The Lord has been inspiring many of these young Chinese to meet and listen to the missionaries. We have a good-sized group of young adult Chinese that come to church and participate in the Young Adult Center (and use our services). We have had 3 baptisms from this group just since we arrived. They sponsored a major Chinese New Year’s party with a culture program including an introduction to their country, traditions, dances and food. Chinese students and performers came from Glasgow as well as Edinburgh. The whole ward and a number of non-member Chinese came to the event. It was a special evening and very fun. We have come to love the Chinese students we have met. They are clearly being led by the Lord and they seem to have very supportive families. It is a miracle playing out in many parts of the world.
